BOINC newbie.

Thread Starter
So after reading the BOINC Essentials Thread. I still don't know what kind of projects that I should try out on my computer. There is tons of projects, but I don't know what ones would be good for my setup. The guide that lists for Multicore CPU's, GPU's only list like half of the projects that BOINC has in the full list in the Essentials Thread.

Anyways. Would love to try this out. Any kind of help would be great. I think it'd be cool to try out.

Not sure, but HWBot isn't that time consuming and BOINC I do on the side.
I been trying to get a dedicated crunching card, was hoping to win that 4870 from the last Foldathon. >.<

You should get a 4870 X2
I'll try out this BOINC. I like folding, but I like diddling in other things.

No money to buy that right now, need a new monitor I have been trying to buy since Black Friday. Just haven't found one to my liking...

But I have 2 PCs at a office I am going to stick BOINC to crunch on over night so it doesn't effect the performance. One is a e5200 and the other is I believe e6xxx or e7xxx.
So once you find a good project for your CPU let me know.

Started AQUA@home & Collatz.
AQUA is started and running on both cores.
But it seems Collatz's work server is Disabled.... Well that's cool...
Tried Milkyway@home but it seems that I need something higher than a GTX260.

Give DNETC a try then, that should still give you a good amount of points.
