Personally new chips show up far too often for me to consider "higher" end parts.

2500k prob its in somegames faster than the i7 980x WHOO HOO
and its cheaper

the 2600k is to mutch for me to spend

i need help must i get 4gb ram or 8gb ram to go with my sb 2500 and 460?
i see new games req 4 gb so must i get 6-8gb?

These are low-mid range chips, intel is gonna drop x6 x8 probably with HT and without (and with different l3) for different price brackets... At least thats how I'd do it.
