Blue/Black HAF-X

Here are some pics of my work on my HAF-X to make it Blue/Black similar in style to the Nvidia Green/Black HAF-X just custom

Lemme know what you think of it, I am going to have to redo the top after not following the paint instructions properly for respraying and then chipping it on accident installing but from a distance it's hard to notice and you still get a feel for how it will look.

Nice work!
Here is your first rep. Do you have any suggestions for future modders?

Ty for the rep, I was really unsure of how the color was going to do at first but I really like the results.

I used Krylon Fusion Safety Blue, with no prep work as stated in the instructions.

A tip I learned from this paint is deff follow the instructions on respraying it says within the first 24 hours or after a 7 day cure time. I was unable to respray within the 24 hours due to rain and ended up waiting 3 or 4 days and impatient to wait the full 7 decided whats the worst that could happen....well I found out...lol

Apparently if you don't allow it to fully cure or don't respray soon enough the first layer will rewet and "alligator skin" below and leave a really nasty looking finish I thought well I'll just sand the areas that look rough the next day and hit over it again and it should be fine....not that easy ended up worse and in more areas then installing it I managed to chip it trying to get the slide that goes over the power buttons back into place so I'm just going to try and redo the whole top peice in a week or so after it cures completely and will not be putting the sliding piece back in.

If you decide to use the Krylon Fusion be careful to go slow it is very easy to overdo it and get a run luckily small runs more or less "absorb" and are not very noticable I really like how the paint more or less soaks into the plastic and seems more like a part of the original piece. I really wanted some good plastic dye but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for and figured the Fusion was close enough.
