EVGA GTX 570 temps

Thread Starter
Hi everybody,
My Evga GTX 570 runs a bit weird, in terms of temps.
I left out the side panel of my computer to unrestricted airflow.

My GTX570 runs 60C idle, and I've seen it jump up to 82C-ish when under load.
Is that acceptable for a GTX570?

Also on another side note, my CPU seems to be at 55C idle, and 65C under load.
Don't know if that's good for my CPU or not... I did overclock it though.

That is when I leave the side panel off! When I put the side panel on it's like 10C~12C more...

Room temp is at 24C.

If it's getting bad, I might look into water cooling options, the XSPC Rasa looks nice... after all, I do like to keep my side panel on...

Any suggestions?

When you run 2 monitors on 5xx, the card won't downclock to 2D anymore so your idle does go up. Although your temps (especially CPU) still seem high despite that fact. Hmm 600T is suppose to have good airflow too, weird.

Mine idles around 48C with two monitors, and loads up to 70-80C.

Are your fans on auto? You might want to try setting a custom fan profile in afterburner, I keep my fans 10% above gpu temps.

They are normal temps. Should we also assume your 570 is on auto fan profile?

82 under WHAT load? If its 82 under something like OCCT its fine, if its 82 under a 4 year old game with vsync on then you may have an issue.

Probably 2 screens as mentioned. Mine runs 62C with two screens and 38C with one, idle that is.

In general, not that I have used air for a while, I like to keep everything from GPU, CPU, NB, etc under 80c on load(this does not include synthetic environments which I would say 90c).

If you keep things below 80c your equipment should last at least 5yrs and by then you will probably be upgrading anyway and if it fails it will probably still be under warranty.
