I like my Vertex 2

Everything opens instantly, the boot time is only a second or two faster than my F3 though. Still, best thing I've bought for my computer in a while.

I bet that if you removed the F3 from your system altogether, then the boot time would be even faster.

But yeah, I have the same drive (although, it's branded the Mushkin Callisto Deluxe), so I feel the same way!

Oh. That's different. The Phoenix Pro, Callisto Deluxe, and Vertex 2 are all basically the same drive using the controller that has the 50,000 IOPS spec. But drives like the plain Phoenix, the plain Callisto, the OCZ Agility 2, and the Patriot Inferno don't have that.

I have just two solid state drives and two optical drives (no hard drives whatsoever). My system takes 15-20 seconds to boot after the POST. I could call it 12 seconds after the POST because that's when I see the desktop, but I prefer to give it a few more seconds than that so that everything is fully loaded.

So, I do not believe that yours boots in just 3 seconds after your motherboard's POST.
