955BE and 880GA-UD3H

Thread Starter
Hey All.
I recently bought and X4 955BE and a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H and was wanting to get one of those Rasa RS240 kits and OC my CPU to 4.2ghz or so.
So my question is would my board handle the OC or will i be wasting my money on the WC kit.
Thanks Brissmas.

Yup.

I had those on my UD2, worked great. I probably could have gone without them, but it's still a nice thing to have. Sucks that the UD3H has the MOSFETS have the outline and holes set up for a larger heatsink but the holes aren't drilled =/

Probably would have costed $10 more for Gigabyte to drill the holes and slap a heatsink on. tsk tsk, oh well.

It's that or the foam padding is blocking the white background. I noticed another screw hole blacked out.

There's some larger heatsinks you can put on the UD2H from Enzotech but I don't know the exact names or measurements for the correct one, all I know is it has punch throughs or clips or something.

Sorry if I'm not making sense, I'm tired xD

The holes are drilled for the heatsink except the enzotech sinks are a few mm short for 880g boards but they fit 770g and 870g for some reason. In pictures the 880g and 870g's VRM layout look identica.
Anyways thanks for the answers guys, will buy them asap so when i get mah kit i can OC to the limit lol.
