i'm getting bored of the schemes nvidia's been doing. their formula is getting lame... i'm not flaming, but cmon nvidia, ati is doing a better job at make new gpu architecture... sure the 'make a base processor, then add more power to it, and then slap two of it on a single/dual pcb' is making profits, but how about something budget that'll actually knock out the competition? the 8800gt was the hero, but ati's 4800 series took over like a mean storm.

Indeed..

I read the Anand article, very nice read, gave me a good perspective on just how Competitive these new AMD APUs are, sounds like we will need to wait till Trinity to be impressed, however, by then Intel may have nailed AMD's coffin once again... I don't think Intel likes being outperformed by AMD, and if there is anything Intel has to say about Brazo & Llano, it's probably that, it's not something that "scares them".

Intel is a more Branded Name than AMD, AMD is usually desired by cheap people or tech wanting to save/make more money (e.g. for resale), generally, Intel has a huge fan base, and when you really break it down, AMD is going to have to really wow the hell out of Intel fans to win them over...

With Brazo & Llano, I don't think that's going to happen, however, it's nice to see AMD step up to bat with these new chips to compete against Intel, and surely many Laptop MFGs will gobble up the APUs, but you will notice that many of them are gobbling up Sandy Bridge too!

I suppose what we should all be looking forward to is Bulldozer, and if AMD wants to win the battle, and not just the round, Bulldozer better be all that and a bag of chips, for many people are sick of the "I'll serve no wine before it's time.", AMD needs to get the performance specs out there, and fast, otherwise those waiting for Bulldozer may just buy Sandy Bridge CPUs because they are bored of waiting!

I sure hope a leak comes out soon!

For a second I thought Patio Lounge was a new codename for the FX processors or something.
