Hi, Simple question but when i plug my headphones into the front audio panel of my pc i have to then manually change the output in control panel. Should this not switch automatically?

Thanks

the x-fi that comes w/ your motherboard does support both front and rear jack detection. There should be an option in the control panel for the audio device (not the windows playback devices) to tie up similar devices or mute rear input on front detection or something along those lines.
