overclock was stable now its not -.-

post #1 of 9
Thread Starter
i had my overclock at
CPU: 3615 @1.325v
NB: 2650 @ 1.25v
HT: 2170 @ 1.24v
RAM: 1610 6-8-6-20-1T @ 1.69v

then, i started playing around with things and saved over my profile (which was stupid) but i know thats the exact speeds/volts i had, but something is making my overclock unstable now when it wasnt before...

What is your PLL?

This may sound stupid, but does IBT work on AMD?

PLL = Phase Locked-Loop.

And yeah IBT = Intel Burn Test, but I think it does work with AMD at this point.

Well. for some reason, i pushed the cpu voltage back up to 1.35, then test, its stable, then pushed it back down to 1.325, and for some reason its stable (well, an hour anyway, it lasted 4-5 before i stopped it yesterday) again. strange, didnt change anything.

Are you using Prime95 for stability? You should run Small Ftts for about 8-12hrs to ensure Vcore stability. What can happen is if there is not enough V eventually one of the workers will fail. This usually happens when you are very close to stable, but right on the edge.

Also, i have been running stress tests for about 4 hours now, but i have stopped then started them again straight after when i changed something, should i have restarted before starting the Small FFTs test?
