i7 950 + R3E + 12gb 2000mhz Dominator Not posting

Hello there my names cris:
For the past 2 weeks i've been catching up with technology at the same time building my computer.
My computer
i7 950 D0
Rampage 3 Extreme bios 1102
12gb (3x4) corsair dominator gt 2000mhz 9-10-9-27
3xF60 Corsair SSD raid 0
3xF3R Samsung 1TB raid 5
2xWD Blue 500GB raid 1
Sony Bluray Drive
AX1200 Corsair PSU
Haf X Coolermaster
570gtx + 250gts = 3 monitors

My Goal:
2000mhz memory with 3.3ghz so 10% OC which should be achieved by XMP but it does'nt post boot.

My Template 1st:
CPU mult: 21
blck: 143
dram freq: 2006
dram volt. 1.66v
cpu v 1.2(auto)
dram/qpi 1.55 ( when i set it to auto it goes to 1.55 and boots, XMP wants QPI v. @ 1.25v but it doenst boot, not even at 1.3-1.38) It passes post at 1.4-1.44ish but it shuts down at memtest or windows boot.
Timings 9-10-9-27 2N

My Template 1nd:
CPU mult: 21 tried it at 19 and 17
blck: 200
dram freq: 2000
dram volt. 1.66v
cpu v 1.35 @ 21 mult (auto) and 1.3 @ 17
dram/qpi 1.35-1.40 It shuts down at memtest or windows boot.
Timings 9-10-9-27 2N
C1 Disabled

Only stable boots is 1.55 QPI/Dram voltage which i am told its very very high. Am i doing something wrong?

Sometimes i get this
attachment.php?attachmentid=188622&stc=1&d=1294325940 Same error i get with XMS3 and my Dominator memory both 2000mhz. I exchanged the cpu and mb twice thinking its my fault.

If you mean by everything as in Voltage settings yes, It will post but with QPI @ 1.55v

if you mean everything set to auto, yes it posts at 1066mhz

If i havent answered ur question right please let me know and or please break it down for me.

the ram passed memtest for 1 hours at 1600mhz and stock 1066mhz

I feel sorry for this guy. Nobody has answered his question and I'm having the same issue.

My exact same kit on the R3E is failing to post at the listed specifications.

Matter of fact, I pushed my DRAM to 1.66 and QPI to 1.4 with timings at, ready for it? 11-11-11-32, STILL without a boot.

It will likely need more than 1.4V qpi/vtt, probably between 1.45 - 1.6V depending on the IMC, would take a great chip to run 2000Mhz memory at 1.4V.

Not quite sure what I did but I got mine to post.

I started back at stock CPU settings and used XMP profile to get it to boot, which it did. Then I took XMP off, put it back to Manual and changed all the settings to match. Then I worked with what I could there. Timings were basically rock solid and couldn't be changed.

Then I got my CPU settings back up to what they were before. I don't know what changed...but it's posting now.

I have it at 2105MHz with timings at 9-11-9-27, and that's with 3 sticks of 4GB. I personally think that's better than 1600 at 7-7-7-24 or whatever.

BTW, my RAM seems to be ignoring my voltages. Here are my BIOS settings:

BCLK: 210MHz
NB: 3200MHz
DRAM: 1.60v
QPI: 1.35v

No matter what I try to do, even if I put the DRAM at 1.65v, the timings or frequency won't budge. The logic, at least to me, is confusing.

If you get that error message, you're pushing something too far IMO. I had a P6T that did the same thing, and somehow corrupted the boot block of the BIOS. Did the recovery flash...

you will need 1.45-1.55V for ddr3-2000 there's no way around that.
i ran my vtt @ 1.48V for the past year with no issues, just keep it cool.
just try to find the lowest voltage its stable at start at 1.45 and test with memtest from a boot disk (not the windows memtest thats garbage)
