Personally, I don't think it's going to effect your case temps that much, considering how little airflow there is behind there, but it couldn't hurt?

the first set of holes is for a 70mm but the hole cut for the fan is for an 80mm. Notice how the outside holes line up with the outside edges of the fan hole.



See how the holes for the 80mm fan intersect exactly along the edges of the center circle. That's how a fan is designed, thin edges right where the circle and lines meet. The center hole is actually larger than the inside screw holes.

The CM690 has a port just like that and I shoved an 80mm fan back there. It lowered my socket temps by a few C but didn't have much effect on the IHS.
