I have a couple Hardware Labs radiators. Black Ice GTX 240, and a SR1 360. They are expensive, but the "fit and finish" is second to none imo.

If you deem the GTX series to expensive then the RX series from XSPC would be a great choice.

I currently use GTX w/ AP-15's but if could go back and rebuy, the RX series would have been my choice instead.

i think RX w/ GT's is the most popular combo right now

GTX needs high speed fans... but the RX gets similar w/ much lower speed (therefore quieter) fans

are the ap-15's considered high speed? they are 1850 rpm. see im very new to wc. so when it comes to thickness and fpi, i have no idea what is needed.

wil the rx perform better than the gtx with ap15s?

edit: also i need help picking barbs/tubing. my rasa kit came with 1/4" to 1/2"id barbs, but the tubing it came with is 7/16id tubing. so if i buy 1/2"id barbs with the rad should i get 1/2"id tubing or 7/16"id tubing? ive noticed the 7/16"id tubing that came with the kit is almost impossible to get off once installed.

It will perform about the same. The GTX will outperform the RX once you slap some 3k rpm fans into them though.

Its not impossible to put 7/16ID tubing into 1/2" Barbs. Boil some hot water and put the tip of the tubing into the water. Let it stay there for a minute and then try to put it into the barbs again.

ok thanx for your help. as for the tubing, i meant once it is installed on the barb its near impossible to get off. i didnt have any trouble installing them. just pulling them off the barb.

what i really meant to ask, is what tubing should i buy. 7/16 or 1/2? the barbs i have are all 1/2. but the tubing that came with the barbs is 7/16. see what i mean? its very confusing to me. i would assume because they are 1/2 barbs i need 1/2 tubing.

Dont forget to look into Thermochill PA series. Those are some great rads

For tubing size, look at ID and OD. For barbs, you only worry about the ID of the tubing. So 1/2" barbs will work fine with 1/2" ID tubing. For compression fittings, you have to make sure both the ID and OD of the fitting matches the tubing ID and OD.
