The Phenom II X4 will do fine for gaming. Maybe check out G. Skill for RAM. Really good RAM and they have great customer service if you ever need it.

The i7 would be so much faster at ordering that pizza, you could get your food in like half the time lol

Hey, sounds like you are building a similar system to myself. I just purchased the rest last night. I wanted what you want but just didn't have the money for it all. This is the system I went with...
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=10788149 Along with the Phenom II X4 955 (3.2GHz) CPU. I think we would perform the same in most games...except for when you get 2 GFX cards. I'd really like to compare some benchmark scores with you after you get your system going. I assume you have Steam if you're among the modern gamers...PM me your ID if you'd like to game together sometime...assuming we have same tastes in games hahah. But what you have looks good. I would have gone with Intel, but I am not rendering HD video...so I saw no point, along with price. I think AMD is king of gaming until you say you have over $1,000 to spend...then you can switch over to Intel for ULTIMATE gaming, i7 extreme edition and all.
