nvidia/Radeon and Intel/AMD

Thread Starter
What are the advantages/disadvantages (if there are any) of having an Intel processor paired with an nvidia graphics card opposed to a radeon graphics cards? Same goes for AMD processors paired with either of the 2 brands of graphics cards.

Or does it not matter at all?

generally there are no issues regarding brands. however intell will work very well with either nvidia OR AMD/ati. but with an AMD cpu you can run ONE nvidia card without problems but if you want to run SLI with an AMD cpu then thats where your going to hit problems. also AMD cpu's have recently changed and work at optimal level with 5000 series ati cards and upwards

what problems do you encounter with AMD and SLI...?

i have used AMD with SLI for years, since 2004 with the 6800's and many other SLI setups since then.... with many different motherboards including an Asus M2N4-SLI, an Asus M2N-E SLI and an Asus M2N32-SLI
