Going by the pictures provided on the Fractal Design website, it looks like the entire top of the Arc Midi is aluminum mesh with no filter. Will this be an issue if I have for instance a cat that decides to go take a nap on my pc while I am not around? It seems like it might be an issue with stuff getting in there.

It makes complete sense why the top would be for ventilation with heat rising and all that, its just that I never actually owned a case that had a a fan or anything for that nature on the top. I have had this tank of a computer for a solid 6 years and I think its survived a good number of accidents. It makes me wonder about water spilling on there.

The Fractal Arc is going to be my next case for my 2nd rig, loving my Fractal R3.

Geez, the disrespect for Corsair in this forum is... well... disrespectful. Sure, perhaps it's not your taste, but I think some of you bash Corsair simply because you can't afford it. You wouldn't know quality if it slapped you in the face. For $100, sure the Arc Midi is nice, but it doesn't come close to the quality of the 650D or the 600T. As others have said, the 650D and Arc Midi really shouldn't be compared.

Wow, seems to be hater central in this thread. This is my first post on this site but as reading I was amazed at the negativity in here. Lets get started.

1. Just because a case does not fit you expectations does not make it not worth the money.

2. I personally like the design of the 650D because I want the features of the 800D without the extra 2 inches of space that I am not going to use. The price point of this case is very appealing to me because I get the same cable management that is offered in the 800D case without the masses of extra room. I am not going to be using a EATX or XLATX motherboard so the 24x9x24 size of the 800D is not needed, but is still a fairly large Mid tower case offering enough room for for a multi gpu set up. The 650D has 8 expansion slot (vs 7 in most othe mid towers). It sports 4 5.25 bays where the Arc only has 2+1 5.25 bays. More cable management then othe mid's, ect., ect. I never use more that 5 HDD/SSD's so the 6 3.5/2.5 benefits me where some others would prefer the 8 3.5/2.5 array offer in the Arc. It's all about needs/wants and personal preference as you will here me say several times in this post.

3. I prefer side latches over the rear button release on the 800D because of the rigidness and stability, but that is my personal preference since I change components A LOT, which does not make it the best option for everybody else. But not a con or pro.

4. I prefer the 200mm fan option over the 120 due to the fact that it is a lot quieter at optimal operating conditions.

5. Just because a product is not aimed specifically at your personal needs does not make it less of a value for others.

6. I'm not a fanboy for anyone who chooses to flame this post. I have used Antec, Cooler Master HAF(very nice for the air cooling enthusiast thus the name), and several Lian Li(a case that can truly be called overpriced, but I still buy them because I like their pure aesthetic features), along with some Logysis (ikonic) builds. So save it.

7. All in all, the 650D may not be for everybody, but that does not make it overpriced due to the quality features that come on board. I don't like the Raven series from Silverstone from a personal standpoint but I'm not going to tell you that they are not worth the investment due to the wire management that can be had at the back of the case even though they have a lack of wire management due to the psu placement inside of the case. They are just not my cup of tea and do not offer the options I want or need. I have been building computers for almost 15 years now and can tell anybody that a case that meets your personal needs is priceless.

Now that my long winded post is done, please continue to bash a good product at a reasonable price considering quality and options (that may not fit your personal needs) so that you feel intellectually superior to others.

Lian Li offers the PC-P50WB for 200

black interior anodized
window
very nice tool-less features
cable management (good and the 650D's grommets beat it)

it doesn't have usb 3 because it was made before it

I think its a pretty darn good deal because of Aluminum.

Aluminum offers weight savings and easier to cut for modding.

@ cmeeks vvvv
Oh and why do you use Microcenter as an argument for price? ITS MICROCENTER! there are always super awesome deals there, and lian li there is probably cheaper as well.
I am using a modded Lian Li in my current build. I know the pros of aluminum. I am not nocking them but they are a bit on the high side so slow your roll fella. I am not questioning there quality but merely comparing there slightly higher prices than others to Corsairs slightly higher price then others. Anyways, this is way off topic and not being productive to the intended purpose of the thread. If you have anymore disagreements with me then feel free to pm me so not to clutter the thread anymore then what it already is.
