P183 side panels hard to close?

Hey guys,

I just bought an Antec P183 case today and since I still haven't gotten the parts for my build I've just been examining it. However I find the side panels are incredibly hard to close, they seem to stop on the plastic "hooks" that keep it in place at the front (not the top and bottom hooks mind you). I have to push really hard on the panels near the front side of the case for them to close and sometimes even that's not enough so I have to put it lying on the ground so I can push down on it.

This is my first build in about 10 years so I don't have any previous experience with cases with removable side panels (my last computer case had a 3-sided top enclosure made of heavy steel!) but I always imagined you would easily pop the side panels on and off, but popping it back on is very troublesome.

So my question to anybody who has experience with the P183 is, is this normal or is my case possibly faulty? Both side-panels seem to have this problem.

Mine isn't super hard, but you should put some wd40 on the end the locks the cover with the case and see if that helps

Thanks for the reply.
It's not a matter of them being stiff to push into place, I have to push perpendicular on the panel where it slides in, otherwise the plastic just completely stops the panel from going any further. So I don't think some greasing is going to fix it.
