Corsair H50... so not really air, not real water..

I'm not sure if the whole idea of temps no longer being a limitation are true. Up to 4700 temps are fantastic. Once pushing beyond they start to climb exponentially. Remember most reviews we have seen so far are running your traditional benchmarks also. Only the one (dont remember which) had any f@h tests. I know for fact on my 930 it makes way more heat folding than running benchmarks. This could be my chip, or it could be the way things work out for everyone. That will be a wait and see how others do I suppose.

Now a year of waiting for that...Till then I will watch everyone grab SB and be jealous.
I'll be doing the same. After seeing all those PPD numbers it looks like I'll be starting my IB fund as of this moment

Alright so how much are we saving?
I am scared being an 8 core they are going to throw a price of like $500.

Considering IB when released will take over official 'Flagship' designation from 980x or whatever is the highest i7 atm, I wouldn't be too surprised if they are close to the $1000 at release. Pure speculation, but I'm thinking the first line of true 8 core Intels for the enthusiast market will be more in line with pricing we're used to seeing from them.

$1000? It wouldn't sell.
Considering if they try to release any higher binned chips it would be $1100, $1200, $1300 etc.
We are still waiting to see if the 990x is going to be released to the public, since there is already a good amount floating around.

However much I can afford to save until then...I think (or rather hope) $2000 should do the trick, how about you? I sure hope they aren't actually priced at $1000 to start, that would suck.
