Now you're getting somewhere!
Perhaps consider setting the exposure compensation/brightness a bit higher if you can.

Well, let's try it!
You got me to try it too (with a floppy disk) but that didn't really work out too well. Now to find some developed film....

yea, most cameras have IR block filters infront of the sensors. by using film you are basically blocking out most the visible light. so add that witht eh IR block filter there really isnt much light getting to the sensors.

citruspers - if you want to try this dont use a DSLR, all dskater is doing is bascially running a ND filter infront of the lens. try using a ND filter infront of a PS, i did it with a sony w350 and got

I'm pretty sure the OP's effect is soemthing different from a simple ND, after all, the leaves change color, and most importantly, brightness, without the sky blowing out.

I did some tests with my D2H (weak IR filter) + 15-30 (rear gel filter holder) with some negatives, but I don't see the leaves "light up" on the camera screen. Still need to load them on the PC for proper whitebalancing and perhaps channel swapping though.

a ND will block out visible light, whcih is the same effect as putting overexposed film over the sensors/lens. of course you could just buy a hoya r72 for higher quality photos..... but its the same idea.

i am 99.9% sure the d2h does not have a weak IR filter, if it did you would see weird color shifts during bright days.....
