Choosing the Right 1155 Mobo

I'm pretty much set on everything but the Mobo, Which one would you pick and why?

Also the Gigabyte is 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single or Dual at x16) while the Asus is only 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode)

I plan to purchase another GTX 580 and Run SLI so dual X16 is better than Dual X8 Correct? I'm new to this and don't understand the whole X16/X8 thing.

Case:
Cooler Master HAF X

MotherBoard:
Asus P8P67 Deluxe

CPU:
Intel Core i5 2500k

CPU Cooler:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 +

GPU:
EVGA GTX 580 [X2 eventually]

PSU:

XFX Black Edition XPS-850W

RAM:
Mushkin Enhanced Redline 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600

HDD:

Samsung SpinPoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB

I personally like the UD7 the most for its 24 Power Phase and the Dual LAN gimmick they had (Torrent fever!). But the price range I found on PC case is what makes me cringe at 369$ as the P67 Deluxe isn't that expensive.

The Gigabyte board is only good if you needed to do Tri-SLI. Having x16/x16 will offer little to no performance difference to x8/x8.

If you wanted to save a bit extra, you may want to look at the P8P67 Pro. And then use some of that extra money for a SSD.

Was that amazons price? I have seen it more at $330 which is a bit easier to swallow.

Wait till you see the price of the asus maximus.....I'm saying screw asus this round..... stupid blue motherboards

Do you need the sata ports? get the ud5......

I'm thinking about the asrock fatality as it seems to have good reviews so far.

Thank you, i thought x16/x16 was far better than x8/x8.

In that case i think the p67 Deluxe is the one for me then get another GTX 580 and SLI it.

* I have a SSD already*

No, it was some site someone on the forum posted, but I'll believe its in the mid 300$ range which will vary depending on retailer.

I'm giving my nomination to ASRock's Fatality board which provides nice features at a lower price. Too bad I couldn't find the price though lol

I hope it's cheaper, it looks to be loaded with features. It shouldn't be plagued with asrock's old problems with overclocking aka weird bios naming conventions. Only bad thing i see is the warranty is less of other companies, but if the price is right i see no problems.

I hope the ud7 is cheaper......*cries* lol.....

It's a toss up for me between ud7 and fatality board. I love asus, but I can't be paying close to $400 for a mainstream motherboard.

UEFI has shown to be kinda buggy in reviews so i completely understand their choice.

I'm sorry but I refuse to buy products that are named after some gamer kid especially when his picture is the background in the BIOS. No Thank You.

As for the Gigabyte boards, they're overpriced, imo. The ASUS boards seem to have more to offer overall and at a much lower price aside from the Maximus IV.

The Deluxe is only $218 and the PRO is $179.
