Look over my Parts! - Page 6

Why does everybody say the 800D is so great for watercooling????

It requires inconvenient and annoying modding and adjustment to fit an additional radiator which should not be necassary with a case unreasonably being patronized like this.

"And in my oppinion for an overpriced case to be advertised as the ultimate watercooling tower to require modding for further radiator installation than one at the top seems ridiculous to me.

Secondly I find it rather ironic that other cases half the price beat the 800D in not only features but water cooling capabillity as well. I gues Corsair payed more attention on advertisement than for the 800D to actually meet its promised watercooling abillity."

<-- me 2 weeks ago xD

All I need is a good looking case with a big side window lots of space to fit the phobya balancer 250 resevoir internally ,good cable management , good airflow and the option of mounting at least a 360 rad with additional radiator mounting option ..without the requirement of modding...ideally a 240 rad ...keep all this under 280€ and we are set

i saw a post somewhere on some forum about nzxt releasing a second version of the phantom case (or at least a 360 rad adapter) sometime soon...it costs $140 USD
it has a 200mm fan at the top but you can throw a 240 rad up there easily...with a small bit of modding...i believe just adding a hole you can mount a 360 up there...also, the whole case is built really solid...

I'm not a fan of the 800D, that's just me though...it's pricey, chunky, ugly, too simple, and needs a lot of modding...the thermal take dokker case i got for my girlfriend can fit a 240 rad up top no issues...lol

i'll keep looking around and once i stumble onto something nice, i'll pm you...you're bound to be able to somehow get it wherever you are in europe...if not, i'll even purchase it for you and ship it to you, lol...(you paying of course...i'm a broke college student >.>)

EDIT: if you've got a 2 5.25" bay reservoir, and you don't mind your hard drives being mindlessly placed, the antec 1200 is for you! 360 can go in front, 240 on the back...side and top for gpu cooling...it's a decent case, but IMO butt ugly

haha 2 things we have in common 1 we so don´t

<--broke xD
<--law student -.-(don´t make the same mistake^^..soon to be exchange student in florida )

my girlfriend hates everthing about my rig addiction

But coming back to real issue ....

I heard so too ...in fact I already purchased the phantom once but had to send it back because it was the wrong color...after that I didn´t bother ordering a new one

And at that point I wasn´t planning on going water
So ..According to what I have seen and heard so far there won´t be any significant new watercooling cases on the market in 1.Quartal....My only hope are the mountain mod cases that will hit germany in the end of january and maybe the price let down of the Lian Li PC80 that is the side I gather my info from http://vr-zone.com/tags/Casings

Just let me know if you got some cases in mind

like i said, i think best bet for least amount of modding is the phantom...i've seen people put a slim 240 on the side, and decent 360 up top...the 240 holes will hold the 360 easily up there, but you just have to bend and move some cables up there out of the way, and cut out a decent sized hold...not a big deal though...

pc80 is just a prettier antec 1200...

gigabyte sumo will hold a 240 and you can cut the top to make it hold a 360...just can't use the top 5.25" after that...

that's all i got for now...

at the end of the day, i say build your own man! it's not as hard as you might think...

I looked it up on youtube ...there I saw what you need to do to fit another 240 rad.

So in general you could fit a 360 and a 240 and a 120 at the rear.
Are there any other cases in that price class that could offer the same with a little modding...(and have the same space and cable management)?
