How do I create RAID 0 on the ASUS P6DX58-E Motherboard - New coming needing help

I recently purchased the ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard

I am looking to configure a RAID 0

I have 2x Western Digital Calaier Black HardDrives 1 TerraByte hooked up. Link to the harddrive:
http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=029337

The drives are connected to Sata 1 and Sata 2 on the mobo.

I wasn't sure if I need to connect the drives to the 6.0 sata port or not. I was told by a shop tech to use just Sata 1 and 2 instead of the 6.0 as that is for "FUTURE TECH" harddrives when they come out the shop tech said.

The computer was just assembled and I'm looking for some really simple steps to configure the RAID 0 and then how to install Windows 7 64 bit OS that I purchased.

Anyone able to help me out?

You want to make sure the drives are both on the SATAII ports, so you're good there.

I'm not at my computer, otherwise I'd just restart and go through the steps to remind myself, since our boards are nearly identical.

I did some quick Googling and found the user's manual for the motherboard, crazy. Here's the link to ASUS' site for the motherboard. Go to download, select an OS, click the + next to Manual, and click the "Global" link by the "P6X58D-E user’s manual (English)".

Go to page 4-12 (or 108) in Adobe Reader when you open the pdf, and it shows you step-by-step how to create the array.

Yeah I was reading the manual for weeks. I just wasn't too sure of myself if this was the correct process of there is more to it.

I found a post here by googling:

Should I follow what the manual says or what they recommend here in this post?
