are you running the games at max graphics with full AA if so then thats your problem

Well you see, the thing is most cpu's should run under 4 pin, but if you're drawing a lot of power with your chip, you should let it have the 8 pin.

Sounds like you built this rig and skipped out on the psu. Everyone is telling you it's the psu because that crap psu can and most likely will kill your entire system if it ever pops.

You will not see an increase in fps if you switch to a better power supply, but you will have a more reliable one and you'll never have to question it.

Also, are you running any background programs while playing?

No there are non other tasks running in the background while I"m playing except for avast.
NO fps increase if I switch PSU? Alright, so what is going to fix my fps problems please?

You could overclock your GPU further, however if your already pushing the limits of your PSU this may not be advisable. I'm no PSU expert so I can't comment on anything really related to that. I know for the resolution you are running at the 6850 is worse than a 460 though. The 6850 is best at 1080p or higher.

Hello. I have Sapphire 6850 Toxic and i have low fps in games too. i have the latest drivers from amd site and in games like tf2, Crysis, Dead Space i have low fps at 1600x900.
my sistem:
AMD Athlon II x4 635 2.90 GHz (quad core)
4Gb of ram
gigabyte MA770T UD3

Problem solved. it was my fault because i was playing with vsync on. i'm stupid
