you are expecting way too much for your GPU, it's a great GPU but don't expect performance of 69XX series or gtx 580 or something.

getting around 40 to 50fps in bc2 is fine, more FPS doesn't mean you'll see your enemies faster/sooner or anything. Just overclock it more and you'll see bit of increase.
I've been saying this for a while but +1 cause it's right.

I played BF2 again to see the fps and it is more around 30 - 50 fps that I get with the card.
I just tried a radeon 5770 and I am surprised to see that the performance is pretty much the same as my 6850 in splinter cell conviction and it even gets better frames in nba 2K11!! (108 for the 5770 and 101 for the 6850)
But in crysis, it has a bit less fps
Well but now I try not to care about fps anymore. The important thing is not to feel lag in games after all I guess...

Ok, well the 6850 is a step bellow the 5850, so that is expected. Are you experiencing micro-stuttering? Or does the game just feel slow?

I guess it's hard to describe it... haha

Have you tried different drivers yet? Try rolling back to an older driver version?

No, exept for crysis and gta 4 , my games don't really feel slow, it is just the Fps that fraps indicates me that are relatively slow compared to all of the reviews on the web... For all my games fps are below what is written in the reviews... so that's why i'm kind of disappointed...

Right now I'm rolling back to my previous drivers (the ones on the cd). I'll see if performances are improving or not

The Fraps overlay will actually lower your FPS. It's been known to lower in game FPS by quite a bit actually.

If you want to see your FPS during the game, download MSI Afterburner, and use the overlay in that program to measure your FPS.

GTA 4, is poorly optimized, it feels slow on my computer.
Crysis, it's Crysis...

I think I know whats the problem about my fps now!!
I just discovered something on GPU-Z:
"the graphic card reports that it supports PCI-EXPRESS X16 V2.0
AND
"It is currently running at PCI-EXPRESS X2 V2.0

normally my mother board has pci exp X16 and not X2!!!
Is there something to do to fix it???

weird!

That could explain it, but why would your PCI-e slot be running at x2?

can you upload a screen shot?

look at this:

(of course I plugged my card in the right pci slot which is supposed to be a X16)

Yep that's running at x2

did you change any PCIe settings in your BIOS?

The only other thing I can think of is a faulty PCIe lane, or GPU-Z showing an error; which doesn't make sense because both CCC and GPU-Z are showing the lane at x2
