SLI usage is low in bad company 2

Thread Starter
i was running bad company 2 maxed with AA off and i was averaging about 47 fps but i noticed the gpu's were never above 63% usage is that normal? and my cpu was probably 98% or more so could it be a bottleneck issue?

and if i turned off HBAO my framerate would drop to 33 fps and gpu usage would drop to 38%

BC2, as you noticed, is considerably CPU-bound... I have exactly the same issue. NVIDIA was trying to sort out the problem, since it was a drivers issue supposedly, both with single-gpu and SLI setups, but I dunno at this point if they actually fixed it or not.

Sounds like it. You might as well run at least 4x AA. My e8500 @ 4ghz could only pull 30 - 80 fps in bfbc2. I got an i7 and with the same video card I now get 60 - 150 fps. Will that board take a phenom II 940. I think those are a pretty good deal right now. They would o/c much better too(from what I've read, I've had neither).
