About the networking issues. I think the access points and the router aren't configured right. Is the Modem also a router? How is everything connected? Maybe you could draw a schematic of how things are connected. My guess is that the modem/router fails to lease an IP address to the APs after the DHCP client resets its table. You could also try to setup manual leases for all devices depending on the complexity of the network (devices connected end-to-end) and give them static IPs. This can be quite tedious especially if a lot of people use the network, I don't think you want this.

30 inches is quite a lot of snow, I'm not envious.

Did a quick google on Linksys, first link was someone who had the same problem as you, but that thread is from back in 2007. :/

Very nice to see you holding a steady lea din Cat3.
jrock is doing tremendous in AMD, he's running stock volts iirc and is holding 2nd nicely.
I know Mako and juano been plagued with bad WU's pretty much all month, but keep pushing!
Several small issues and OS reinstall has made Sporadic lose ground to Donkey, lets hope you get more of the kind of units you're currently on.
I've been trying yo compensate for my lost internet during last week, been running the poor 2700@5 and a lot of volts for a few days. But I've got some things that might relieve it from its duty though.

You can have the 10kth post, BM, as long as I have 1st. biggrin.gif

Will soon be moving to this:
Upgraded with a 3770K and a Maximus V Gene, plus new water cooling blocks

As 3770k are now allowed together with a SB-e, so I upgraded to 3770K cooled by a shinier CPU block and MVG w/ VRM block.

Rad, pump and fans are the same as before, but I'll be getting a new pump soon and I have to decide what I wanna do with the tubing. Was thinking Tygons silver tubing, for the antimicrobial properties, but unsure about what size I want to go. 3/8"ID-1/2"OD or 1/2"ID-3/4"OD, the smaller size will make it easier to route, but the fatter usually looks better. But I might just go with the white tubing (3/8"ID-1/2"OD) you see in the picture seeing as I've got enough of that laying around, will have to pick up fittings regardless.

I'll ask my Uncle exactly how its tied in. I think theres 2 networks setup, but I know the actual modem is just a modem. IIRC, the hard lines are all off a server, but the access points are separate from the server

Its snowing again now, we have another 3 inches now, but its starting to change over to freezing rain so were going to add a coating of ice ontop off all this snow. I just hope people are getting their roofs cleaned off because there will be a lot of weight on them after today

I think the 5 ghz overclock is paying off and helping me start to pull away from Simon thumb.gif but it may change if he can get his chip up to 5, which is why I'm thinking about switching the dedi to a custom loop in May and cranking it up to 5.1 or 5.2, how ever high I can push it without cooking it or going above 1.5 vcore. Since its case less I'm going to go with a huge radiator in push pull, maybe with some deltas biggrin.gif

Perhaps I should disable HT and join Cat 3 to whoop lab thinking.gif

Should try 5.4 or 5.5GHz if i can stay below 1.55

Hmm, 5.2 should be enough to be on par/slightly faster. I was thinking 5.4 or 5.5G of course I would go all out. 5.18 is only my Windows rendering clock. Without HT I should be able to push 100-150MHz higher on same clocks according to sin.

my 4.6GHz 3770K = 4.78GHz 2600K in FP32/s

Bring it on biggrin.gif I'm not scared

I'm curious how my 3770k at 4.8 would hold up in Ubuntu against the rest of the i7's. I may boot into Ubuntu with a thumb drive sometime and run a few work units just to see how it does,

I was just meesing with you since you were so full of confidence tongue.gif

I can do 5.4G without HT however, but I'm quite addicted to rendering and need Windows now, so I won't enter the TC on this rig. I want S2011 for that. Disabling HT also feels like such a waste btw, just for epeen. 4.8GHz should put you way up there in i7-2 below Elchucko, LarsL and on par with arvid and Op. Competition dropped since all the cool guys have 3930K now. I believe i7-2 and Cat3 lack competition because of that, extreme clockers usually go all the way and get SB-E or 3770K.
