I think I will wait for 2600k MSI Big Bang with 6 single slot GTS 450's. I can buy cards couple at a time and no need to wc those.

I am aiming for a total of 200k ppd from all 3 rigs. Between the 2600k and the 470s and a single 460 I am hoping for 90k ppd.
might be a bit short.. 2x 470 = ~32k ppd, 460 = ~11k ppd, 2600k @ ~4.8ghz w/ 3 gpu3 = 35-40k.. so about 80-85k ppd + the 970 = ~150k ppd , + i7 920 = ~180k ppd, wait are you still keeping the 920?

i was so close to buying the asrock extreme4 but since microcenter had that tp67xe deal and it was local, i had to do it... dont regret it but im sure i would have been happy with the asrock too

Depending on the oc on the 460's they can get up to 12.5k PPD.

Nah I'm selling the 920 as well for a 2600k setup. So I will have one 2600k cpu only and the 2 other rigs.

BTW BFBC@ is on sale for $10

ahh i gotcha, so 970 and 2600k cpu only

and another 2600k rig w/ the 3 gpus right?

in that case, it'll be pretty damn close to 200k impressive!

That's going to be an expensive rig to run in terms of $ : PPD. For the same price it would probably be more cost effective to grab some decent CPU and devote them to bigadv. In the long run you'd save a ton of money. I'm considering the electrical cost more than anything.

yeah..

6x 450's = 60k ppd ~$600 = ~600w

dedicated 2600k rig = 50k ppd ~$600-700 = ~230w

much more efficient!

Why are you guys crushing my hope and dreams? You guys are mean....

Edit: A good option would be a x68 with integrated gpu for bigadv.

Hey it would look incredasexy with all those GPU's in a single case but the electrical cost would be insane. Better to see what will come out in the next couple months and then go on a spending spree.
