perfect, thank you for the pics...since it just barely fits, im a bit worried about shipping it with no padding , but i think it should be ok.. might toss some bubble wrap in the asus box to be safe.. ive got like 4-5 serious buyers so far at $180 shipped, less than i expected but im not surprised since it's only $10 off amazon's retail, but i'm sure i'll get a lot of buyers at $160-$170 shipped, i put 2 on ebay too to test the waters

hmm my conky looks nothing like that lol, i think i have an older version.. mine looks more like this.. and then i got the temp on the taskbar

did you just 'sudo apt-get install conky' or a different way? i'm not sure how to add the mhz to yours, i would assume you just need to add something to the config file like rainmeter, but i think ubuntuforums.org might be your best option, or maybe Matt knows

You rang?

Your conky looks like it's running in a window & not on top of the background. Yes, sudo apt-get install conky

But he wants just mhz? Not sure how to do that. I can only tell you how to do Ghz.

But then again, I've noticed that anything over 4Ghz shows up as some weird Ghz number lol. Like 3.4Ghz on my main rig when it's clocked at 4Ghz.

Wow, I never really thought I'd pull 100k PPD ... even with the -bigadv, it took lots of patience for me not to click-i-ty every 2 hours to watch my PPD.

In other news ... for sensors, I use sensors-detect as well as the gnome-applet-sensors (or something) ... and then within the applet I had to adjust the temp to match what it says in windows, as it was 20°C off...

4372 rpm is the water pump. Got me if that's its rpm... The far left water-looking thing is the CPU load.

In Linux the only accurate cpu frequency I have seen is looking through the bootlog. ... Just after boot, it says something about cpu detected and gives an accurate freq. Got me how the heck else. Probably worth writing a panel plugin...

Btw, Im willing to trade any of my gpus for a 9800 that you guys think we need for moar ppd. Even one of my 460s... Im busy at work so you guys try to find in the classifieds for me?

Im actually thinking about selling all my truly spare hardware so I've got $ for bulldozer... That's the 4 slot am3 motherboard in f3, its be cpu, all its gpus...

i signed up to sell on amazon and put the mobo up for $189 and got almost 10 orders within ~12 hours lol... amazon selling fees aren't as bad as i thought.. only 8% and they reimburse you for shipping.. i think
post #2819 of 10523
That's only 1% less than eBay...
well it's not only 1% because you don't have to deal with paypal, so no 3.5% on top of ebay's 9% .. also, ebay does not reimburse you for shipping

amazon:

Buyer's price: $189.00
Amazon commission: -$16.76
Shipping credit: $6.49
Your earnings: $178.73

ebay:

Buyer's price: ~$189.00
eBay commission: -$17.01
Paypal Fee: -$6.61
Your earnings: $165.38

forums:

Buyer's price: $180
Paypal Fee: -$6.30
Your earnings: $173.7

edit:

man the exposure on amazon is crazy... ive gotten 4 more orders in the past hour or 2

i had doubts about buying so many at first but now im glad i did lol.. easy money
