Or better yet csm, a 04 to show you how stable that OC really is.

I tried the V7 a couple of weeks ago on my X6, and on the first few WUs I got amazing results (about 20k (A4) compared to 13k-16k in VM) but then my PPD really plummeted down to the 8-10k range, yes different WUs and no matter how I configured the client it wouldn't give me mostly those high yielding WUs. With VM I almost always run WUs that give me 13k-16k.

Now I realize that there are probably difference how my AMD and a Intel would handle the different cores and OS, not having tested with a SB on all variants my findings on AMD may not hold true for a 2600k.

Hey guy just caught up on where i left off from my.last post. Im glad to see as a team.we are working to get the most out of folding! Id be happy to test it with the time we have left! I have the hfm.set.up with the vm to easily rmonitor ppd. Ill have to set it.up for v7 to figure out the ppd on that client.. can i use the came.program to monitor both??

Sorry i came to you guys so green.. thanks for giving me a chance and helping me out. I feel at the 48x (4898mhz) with overclocking the ram, as well as getting new 2133 mhz ram i could hopefully bring something to the table

Also.i was folding all night thru the vm but checked this morning on the stanford site that keeps a record of points and wu and it never went up from after i got my 10wu on the v7.. so are they 2 different things?? Or did i not finish the work unit on vm? It was going all night.. just thought id mention it

Apparently it seems that v7 will get you better PPD since you will be folding the better SMP units there. I have no experience with v7 so you will have to ask haven or arvi (?) regarding that.
You might as well close down HFM and the VM if that's the case.
What is your FAH username? JMattes I assume? It seems you haven't completed 10 WU's.
See folding.extremeoverclocking.com and search for your name.

With V7 you can unfortunately not use any 3rd party program to monitor your progress/PPD. However it has a built in feature that does it for you, but the TPF/PPD calculations isn't all that good TBH so if you wanna find out PPD you'll have to manually look in the log and put the TPF numbers in a bonus calculator when the time comes.

It may not have finished, some WUs take quite some time.

If you look here - folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=605053
It seems you are not folding only SMP WU's - 3 WU's worth 285 points is Unicore IIRC....
Very odd, I don't know.
Keep on folding SMP until you start seeing bigger points on the link above.
Just to clarify, do you have the -smp 8 flag added on your client?

I dont know anymore man.. LoL I have zero idea what I am folding... Ill look into it tomorrow.. And hopefully figure this all out.. Maybe just have one of you guys remote in and set it all up?

Getting alittle tired of trying to figure out all these problems if you know what I mean.. Its not what I want to do after a long day at work..

After its all set up though I am sure it will be well worth it!

I do know what you mean, it is very frustrating. It is getting late here and I have school tomorrow, so maybe another teammate could remote desktop in for you, unless you will wait until next weekend...

I'm resizing a couple of partitions today, so the dedi rig is down for a bit.
It's taking longer than I'd like. Will be done in a substantial amount of time... frown.gif

Maybe we can do a LogMeIn or something and you guys can fine tune my FAH@Home and VM there both optimized and we can compare ppd?? Let me know if anyone knows how to do that or another form of remote desktop and if we can do that at some point today.

Thanks guys!
