For future reference, 1 WU and 0 pts means that the WU failed but was still uploaded to Stanford... basically unstable OC.

Sadly it was a RAM issue that couldnt and still isnt resolved on my gaming rig.. I wish it was a CPU problem or tit would of BSOD and been resolved sooner.. My RAM doesnt give me BSOD problems..

But with that WU posting on my dedi I dont see anymore problems.

52k down.. with my First WU posting.. Lets see by the end of the month how much I am down or if I can caught the big boys!

I recommend dedicating a weekend to OCing your RAM...

Thats the thing about it... The RAM I have in my gaming rig is the same RAM I know for a fact can run stable at 2133mhz.. However with the new mobo (P67) it wont boot at 2133, it wont Prime Blend at 1866, and it still crashes a worker or 2 on 1600mhz..

I dont know what I have to set differently to get it stable when I used all my Z68 settings on the mobo..

But now since I got a dedi working ;;fingers crossed;; I have all the time in the world to get the RAM stable..
Or until Ivy comes out then I need to fold on the gaming for a day or 2 so I can get Ivy set up and OC'd

workers failing during prime95 means unstable OC, i.e need more cpu vcore.

Have you 100% tested cpu for stability i.e ran overnight on the rig that is failing? Everyone keeps saying unstable OC Mattes, and it is that in my opinion and im not convinced you have tested the rig that is having problems and got 12 hours+ p95 stable.

Lol $ilent..

I switched up some parts towards the end of the month and to avoid downtime I cut corners that I ended up paying for. However, unless its purely the board that will change a CPU's stability..

That same CPU on my Z68 board with the same RAM was rock solid stable at the settings I had and was folding on it error free for almost 20days and ran it through a 12hr+ Prime Blend cycle.
It was 48 w/ a 102 bclk with RAM running 2170mhz 10-10-10-28..

Then I swithed to the P67 so my dedi could have the Z68 so it wouldnt need a graphics card..
I even kept the same Vcore and switched the blck back down to a 100 so it should require even less vcore than it did and its still having problems.. I find normally when its a problem it not booting or all the workers crashing its a RAM problem over CPU.. If it was a CPU OC problem it would simply BSOD.. but thats just from ym experience..

I also got a new voltage on the P67 board.. VSSCA or something? Ill have to go into bios on my next boot and look at.. But it wasnt there when I had the Z68 board..
I also didnt do a new install or change any drivers.. So maybe that has a hand in it? I mean there very similar boards and I dont know if that would affect anything.. But I didnt ahve the time to do a fresh install, patch, and then optimize my ssd.. way too much time needed for the BS..

I am an old man and just needed to keep folding as my picture explains it biggrin.gif

I hate to say it but yes a new motherboard doesnt necessarily mean your cpu will be stable as it was with the old one. You mean VCCSA voltage, not 100% what that does but it doesnt need changing over stock. I know VCCIO is for voltage controller etc.

Also CPU instability does NOT always result in BSOD, please dont think because you have not seen a bsod that your cpu is 100% stable.
