Whats an ez flash usb port??

P67 Pro Rev 3...

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8P67_PRO#download

I put it on an external bc I dont have a thumb drive.. I went into the bios and tool and flash utility and I selected the .rom file and it said it wasnt a EFI BIOS.. so then I made a thread and some guy said throw the Bios Update program on it and then boot from the external.. (Yea boot from the external like I know how to exactly do that) So i went into the bios and wne to boot loader and tried to boot from the external but it all goes right into windows..

So idk what to do lol. I am hoping by installing new bios it will let me OC the RAM.. 1333 isnt amazing when I know it does 2133

lol ok. Is this on your Nix native rig?

Boot from external is just go into bios and make the pc try to boot from the dvd drive first.

If this is on your windows box just use the AI tuner II to flash it using ASUS Updater.

Or spend the 8 bucks at walmart for a 4GB flash drive (easiest) biggrin.gif

EDIT Ok i did some fast looking around and here is how you go about it.
- Download the new bios.
- Unzip the file
- Burn the file onto a cd.
- Restart your PC
- Enter into bios
- Click the top right tab (Tools)
- Click the top option (EZ Flash Utility)
- In the options it gives you, find the cd drive on the left and on the right the bios file. (Will say "P8P67-PRO-REV31-ASUS-2302" or what ever version you are using, in the line next to it.)
- Click on the bios file and it should update it.

See I was basically doing that with the external.. and it always says not a EFI Bios..

I have it on a cd too.. I guess I could try it again..

This is for my gaming rig.. the one thats having a RAM Stability problem.. Its a full windows

I didnt see Flashing it with the Asus Tuner as an option.. My asus tuner only has monitoring functions..

Is that an add on?

Take your time.. I think the RAM is stable at 1333.. which I rather have mhz over timing, but there chilling at 7-7-7-21.. I thinkif the bios fix doesnt allow me to OC it I will try for even tighter timings on1333

I also downloaded and extracted the file for all the AI Suite Addons.. One is called Asus Update. Maybe that is the one you were talking about. I will give that a go..

Installing now.

Yea. You probably installed about add-ons I didnt.. I dont know if I want to newest bios update tho..But i guess its better than the one I have.

Connectiong to Server... Fingers Crossed

Picked up a 6098! Yay different than the 6099 I normally fold lol

Hmm kept saying Connection to server... Trying a different one now.. With my luck it wont find it..

Theres an update bios from file option.. hip hip

you dont have to take the newest. Choose which one you want and download it and then do the "update from a file" option.

Yea thanks a million! I updated the bios without a problem.. However I dont think it fixed my RAM problem.. Still wont boot at 2133

However it may be stable with 1866 at 10-10-10-28 @ 1.6 maybe I can even tighten the timings..
Witch would be a plus since the workers used to crash within seconds on 1866

No problem. thumb.gif
I just updated mine as well. I have a small (really small... like 15Mb small) flash drive that i use just for bios flashing. But now that updater in AI Suite is really easy I'm just going to use that from now on.

What voltage are you running your ram at?
