Nothing new yet. If anything changes I will post here or via PM's. They are still going about it by gear so they want ppd first. If they just say "Max ppd allowed is XXXX" it would be much easier. Everyone just find w/e gear they want to use and If anyone gets cought breaking ppd rules no points for the month wink.gif

I got the computer from my friend today. Its a P4 E6500 cpu, 2gb ddr2 800mhz, EVGA 680i Tri-SLI mb and an AC Freezer Pro cooler for $50 biggrin.gif I also bought a 400 watt psu from Argosy (it could be a setup from Dark Predators). That should be all I need for getting a dedi cat2 rig and it should be ready before TC starts again. thumb.gif

I finally got BF3 yesterday and its awesome. My GTX 670 is doing Ultra settings at 60 FPS so thats a relief. I also bought a used Ducky Shine(white LED's) from another OCN folder for $90 and he shipped it the same day. All I need now is an IPS panel but that will have to wait till I have more $$$.

There is new list of approved gear for Cat2. I would need to upgrade to either GTX 460 or a GTX 560(non TI) to stay competitive but I think the GTX 460 gives better ppd. I will one as soon as I find a good deal.

Yea, you need 3 of those Korean(?) 2560*1440 now...

The 560 vanilla is basically a 460 (supposedly a bit refined as it's a GF114 core) but with a higher stock clock. Beware of the SE version of both 460 and 560, less CUDA cores, SE probably stands for ****E[/B]dition...

If you're getting a 460, the 768MB is a prime candidate, less desirable=lower price (but also lower availability) and 10W less TDP than the 1GB version but just as fast in folding (rumor has it the 768 clocks a bit better, but I think that's marginal). Come to think of it, I got a 460 I'm looking to unload on someone, to bad about the whole shipping thing.

I've got an Asus DC 460 1GB that can do more than 900MHz (940MHz folding stable for weeks last I checked). What type of 450 do you have?

Those Korean monitors are very nice but I promise my wife I would take her to San Diego for a week so Im using my extra funds for that. The GTX 460 looks like the best deal so far.

I got an EVGA that runs @ 8XX mhz, cant remember. Problem is it fold any higher than that. What kind of PPD your getting on your GTX 460?

The 550 Ti looks like it will be approved for that category so you all know. I got an Asus one for my lady for about $100, out performs the 460.
