Can someone help explain the FPB on the GTX460's?

Thread Starter
I have been out of the loop for a bit but am looking for a new GPU. I see on the EVGA website there is some GTX460's with 336 cuda cores?
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...s%20Family&sw=
Then there is another with only 288 cuda cores?
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...s%20Family&sw=
And which one would you guys recommend out of the 460 series if it is the budget OC'r
what has been happening with these cards? Yes I do realize that there are newer gen cards, But I don't think I can get enough money for one?

So both have 1Gb of Ram, So why does one have more Cuda cores over the other?
Thanx for any and all advice people as always.
Happy New Year

Just for *****s and Gigggles Is there a good cheap 5 Series Nvida GPU out?

The FPB just raises the clock speeds of the card along with fixing the 70% Fan Speed Cap on the cards.

The GTX 460 SE is a cut down GTX 460. They NOT the same card. The lineup goes like this:

GTX 460 1GB
GTX 460 768MB
GTX 460 SE 1GB
