So...I just snipped the fan cable in half - Page 2

Yeah.
I'd wrap each one lightly so they don't bundle up and short together if you were to simply tape the whole thing, and then all together at the end.

Of course, you already knew that

Yep. Make sure the wires have proper contact with the corresponding colors. Total of 6 stripped wires is correct, just make sure to wrap it up before putting it back in the case.

Make sure you wrap each wire separate then wrap them all together after for the neatness .

Oh so i shouldn't just wrap them all together with electrical tape once they are twisted around the corresponding colors but rather put electrical tape around each of the 3 twisted wires then all together?

To properly twist the wires together...

Bend the exposed ends into "J".
Hook the two J's ends together.
Twist.
Apply a tiny bit of solder... or glue.
Wrap each pairing separately!
Once again...

If you don't know how to solder, buy a cheap iron and learn how.

Before you splice the wires, buy a collection of shrink tubing (Radio Shack has this; ditto Home Depot) put a small diameter length on each wire to be spliced. Slide it out of the way. Solder the joins. Slide the heatshrink tubes back over the joins. Hit with a heat gun. This will insulate each join.

Put the original sleeving back together. Then either run a larger diameter heatshrink tube over this join and hit with a heat gun, or just tape the whole join.

Have fun. learn from this. The skills you will acquire will add horizons to your life. "Have solder gun, will travel."

Ok its fixed Time to fix the BIOS now. Keep getting weird overheating things popping up. Apparently it has something to do with the RF Bios but since I flashed to that bios from the P5E, my board doesn't have a sensor for certain things. Just have to find what those are. Strange thing is, I even disabled some of them and yet they still show up as overheating hit F1 to resume.
