Those colored tubes are hideous, the inflated Epeen of some WC posters is hideous.

Long Live Corsiar H series and the hate they create.

I'm a WC n00b, just got a H70 with my new P67 rig.

Now that I've been hit by the Cougar Point SATA bug that will mean a mobo replacement, I'm interested in swapping out the H70, possibly with the H60 if it's available in time for the teardown/rebuild. Probably stick the H70 on my E8500 or regift to my brother.

First, sure, my i7-2600K easily overclocks to 4.7GHz+ even with the rough early ASUS BIOSes, but my temps were hitting almost 80C running superPI, a little too warm everyday OC for my comfort. But I was actually getting pretty darn good OC's using the stock cooler, too.

My criticism of the H70, at least installed into the 600T case basically boil down to the H70's thick radiator means a bank of VRMs don't get good airflow. Also I had to replace the crappy fans that came with the H70 - I went with a pair of ArcitcCooling F12 PWM fans, maybe not the best choice but at least they're BIOS controlled and quiet. But better fans should have been in the box.

Also, yeah, I hated the retainer-ring design. Took a 2nd attempt to get it right. Had to replace the thermal compound after I botched the first try. Man, fix those multi-lingual instructions!!

I'm hoping the H60 can match the thermals of the 2600K. I'd like to get into the 5GHz club if possible.

CorsairGeorge, can you give us any expectation on whether my 5GHz hopes can be realized with the H60, or should I stick with my H70? Will the fans be PWM controlled? How about the pump? And when will it be available at retail?

An all-in-1 240mm kit is already being produced. George, what Corsair needs to do is take over the marketing for this unit as well, and sell the crap out of it, like it does with everything else!

You can hook me up with a couple case badges for the brilliant suggestion.
Thanks!
