Read that blue sticker bit by the '6 CORE CPU READY'.
It says "Support up to 95W Phenom II X6".

Can't remember exactly, but isn't that CPU a 140W?

Yes. When an AMD cpu isnt 'supported' it will work, but only at 800mhz, it allows you to find out and be able to get the newest bios.. IF it supports the new processor, in your case it doesnt.

Someone had the same problem a few months ago with an AsRock motherboard, he was trying to run a 1090T in it and it pulled up 803mhz too. He returned the CPU for one that was supported and it worked.

Keep 'C1E Support' disabled, as well. Underclocks the CPU too.

Yeah normally id check that sort of thing, but i was assured that motherboard and my new cpu would work, as i was in another part of the country at the time

my cpu is AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition 125 Watt Socket AM3 3.5GHz 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor, so its 125w trying to work on a what max 95w board, great

So that PC world board says

AMD Socket AM3; Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series Processors
Support 45nm CPU
Support CPU up to 140W

That should do me and ill be all set and ready to roll?
