Which one are you considering getting and why?

The motorola is looking better with a 1930 mah battery...

Cant figure out what kind of display the atrix will be using. AMOLED? LCD?

I'm in the same boat. I have a captivate right now, and I have to choose between keeping it, or my dad offered to buy my phone and I could buy one of the new ones.

The Atrix has a 4" qHD LCD display (960*540 vs 800*480 on other phones). The 2x has a 4" regular display. Not sure the quality of either one though. The Atrix has a nearly 33% higher capacity battery as well. The Atrix comes with 16GB of storage and the LG has 8Gb. They both have HDMI out, but the LG has mirroring (not sure about the atrix here). The Atrix has some amazing docks and double the ram. The LG has higher resolution cameras (both front and back) and can record 1080p, but that doesn't mean it's higher quality. Finally, the Atrix has HSPA+, which if it exists in your area, is a good speed boost.

For me, the Motorola phone is proably where I'll go. However, I hadn't heard that the 2X is even coming to AT&T, or any US carrier for that matter?

I have a Droid X currently. I want the LG most likely. That could change depending on what comes out. Hopefully the LG will make its way to Verizon. The LG just looks good, and it seems to fit my needs. I was hoping to see an iPhone on Verizon soon, but it's not looking like that will happen. Oh well, I'd rather have an Android powered phone anyhow.

The two phones posted by OP also are dual cores, and the atrix has double the RAM, and also is able to dock into a "host" laptop

Motorola hasn't talked bootloader on these that I've seen. Where is your source? Besides, if the Bionic doesn't have it, I doubt the Atrix will as well. That's actually my biggest fear with these phones.

Hmm, yes you have a point here. If in fact the Bionic doesn't have a locked bootloader then I might be onboard with the Bionic as well. As stated above, I, too haven't heard of anything related to the bootloader.

P.S. What do you all think of the HTC Thunderbolt? Looks nice to me.

With the Motorola's and LG's phones pushing the envelope on the phones internals with the 2X, Atrix, and Bionic, and Samsung doing the same on the externals with it's S-AMOLED Plus, I was disappointed to see then releasing the Evo with LTE/HSPA+ and calling it huge. Hope they do better at MWC.
