This is scary man.

The only reason it's DLC before launch is to give people a bonus for preordering. You pay $0.00 extra you do realize that?
You said it yourself. For Pre order.
Bioware does this with a lot of games recently.

Pre ordering games is usually pretty stupid because we still don't know if this is going to be good or not. I read reviews before I commit to buying a game. So basically I am going to get jipped out of this "free" content. I either have to pay for it later or I don't get it (Unless I pay for the GOTY edition a year from now... which is BS).

It's when you preorder the standard edition before January 11th.
All of this is just incentive to preorder the game. Everything is free, unlike what you said.

You get a $20 extra content simply just by preordering the $60 game before the 11th including this. So in other words: You get a $80 special edition of the game for $60.
Yup. He's got it. I'm excited about DA II, I want witch hunt explained further and I'm hoping Morrigan's story is further explained in DA II. My theory is... wait, no spoilers... But my theory indicates Morrigan can appear in DA II if I am correct Here's to hoping..

And Bioware has almost always been about DLCs. This is what allows the free mods to work so well too

Um she wont be in it bro...

Totally and completely different story arc. It is not a sequel. Yet another reason to hate it.

At this point, I'm inclined to wait till they release all the dlc and bundle it together and steam puts it on sale.

This. If they already have it planned out (story wise) and they're already working on it, then they should include it in the game to begin with. DLC shouldn't even be a thought in the developer's mind until the game is released.

Edit: I didn't read free, but

I agree 100% Drizzt5. Another thing that I hate almost as much as DLC are the pre-order bonuses that they throw out. Especially in multiplayer FPSes where they give early adopters better weapons to start out.

Yeah which is exactly the point of it. It's incentive to get people like you preorder and commit before the game actually comes out. This could be viewed as a bad thing from your perspective, but they were trying to say "Oh DLC that you have to pay for before the game even comes out which should've been in the game from the start - greeaaaattt".

That's not right at all. DLC has to be in the developer's mind from the second they start making their game now-a-days unless you're expected non-story related missions that are just tossed in there. Those days of DLC are gone, and it should stay that way in my opinion. I rather DLC that has some meaning/weight to it that can be intricately woven into the game rather than, for example, some random character asking to go fetch milk because the developers don't have a way of getting the player to do something meaningful due to the game's story.

Not just story related either, but also compatibility/code and such. How the developers can integrate it into the game, how the player executes the DLC, ect. But my biggest quip is with meaningless DLC.
