I was thinning about this ram

CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1600C9

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

It's under 100 bucks after rebates

Would this Overclock well with a SB to around 4.8

I'd go with some Mushkin. Its lovely stuff. I have 2x2GB of Ridgback 1600mhz 6-8-6-24 timings for my SB build. I am a total mushkin convert though haha.

I went ahead with the G.Skill Ripjaws.

I also almost got the EVO instead of the Pro but from what I can see, the only difference is the addition of a second lan port (which I would never use).

Picking everything up at 9 tomorrow morning. Pics and benches to follow.

Should be interesting to see what temps are like with my H70. It works exceptionally well with my i7 chip.

Now, I am having second thoughts.

There is another G.Skill kit

G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-8GBRH Ripjaws PC3-12800 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 1.6V Memory Kit

Pretty amazing timings. It does cost $50 more

There is a thread about the kit at XS

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=261341

Trying to decide if it's worth the extra $50 for much tighter timings (the kit I was originally getting was 9-9-9-24 at 1600mhz, this kit is 7-8-7-24 at 1600mhz)

Thoughts?

Quick question

Would getting a 2133 or 1866 kit perform better than the 1600 kits?

For me it was between
