Air Cooling with an EVGA x58 132-BL-E758-A1 mobo

Thread Starter
So, taking everything into consideration from this thread, I want to throw out a couple of things and get your opinions.

Best air cooling solutions seem to be Noctua and Silver Arrow, with the Mugen II and Megahalem looking like very reasonable challengers.

I am seriously considering buying the Noctua currently... but I am worried that it will not fit appropriately on my motherboard, or even in my case. I've searched around and I keep finding contradicting evidence, which leaves me that much more confused.

All my specs are listed on my sig rig. If anyone has any personal experience, detailed links, or anything of the like, please help!

EDIT: Now discussing Venomous X and maximizing performance.

Is turning the Noctua... vertical... still just as effective for cooling?

Since I'm turning it vertical, would it be possible to use the Antec 900's Big Daddy fan uptop to help the cooling process?

That RAM will go under anything. But Good Lord! What on Earth is all that stuff on your motherboard? You will need to measure everything before you put anything in there.

Why do they sell these things?

Yea, that's what I'm currently most worried about. RAM clearance was certainly a concern, but I have random blocks on my NB and... other components that I'm not quite sure of to be honest.

Hoping there is at least one person with this mobo and a cooler that visits this thread... I'll try to change the topic title.
