Xbox 360 Slim & Regular Power Button Compatability?

Thread Starter
Is it possible to take a power button (with all the LEDs and stuff), and attach it to an Xbox 360 Slim console? I think I may have frayed my Touch button connector cable, and since I can't find a new connector + faceplate, I am curious if I can just get the regular button attached and power it on with a press of the button (I hate that touch garbage anyway).

It would be possible if the old 360's RF board is compatible with the new slim, which I doubt.

I don't know if it will work or not. But the new slims do have a redesigned motherboard.
