GTX 460 getting low PPD?

Thread Starter
I just started folding on my new 460 on Tuesday, and over the last few days I've been getting seriously low numbers, worse than my 800GT. I have it folding pretty much 24/7, and the total for this week is only 17,524. I've read that 460s can get around 8,000-12,000 PPD depending on the clocks; was that accurate or is something wrong here?

I'm using the GPU3 client, nothing else. My usage in Afterburner shows 99%, so I can't image it's the card itself.

Any halp?

What is HFM showing for TPF/PPD? And can you post a log in [code] tags.
You might be failing units or have a unstable overclock.

I'll do that when I get home from work.

As for the clocks, I'm only running at stock.

What part of the log do you want?

I'm assuming it's a 6801/06 project, which are just brutal, but something else is off...are you gaming, watching videos, looking at huge pictures or something. You're getting about half of the PPD you should be getting.

Yea its either 68xx cause its 1348 points, should be getting at least 10k PPD. Are you also folding on your CPU, cause you may want to give 1 thread/core for the GPU to use.

Why are you keeping your rig a secret, add it to your signature here!

Thread jack...is this for 460 up? Because I'm folding SMP on all 4 cores of my "quad" and none for the Fermi, and I've gotten it to 9k PPD

Honestly it isn't needed for the 460 but I have no idea what his rig is, maybe its folding on a P4 for all we know.

Nope, when it's folding I'm not even on the computer, I just let it sit there.

I'm only folding on my GPU. My CPU is an Athlon II X2 240.
