The Dead Chair Chronicles.

Hey guys smile.gif

So my chair just had a hex screw come loose on it.
I got down to fix it with my allen wrench, but it refused to thread.

No matter what angle I approached it from, it just wouldn't stick, it kept turning and turning.

And yes, I did try turning both left and right, still nothing.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I think it's called screwed-up from too much abuse.

Well this is the same wrench I used to secure all the other screws so I know I have the right tool.

Heyah, Mr. Frock.

Is the Allen wrench seating in the head? Perhaps one is metric and the other is standard... or maybe the bolt is not reaching the receiving threads.

Ok, THAT seems wonky...possible it's a different bolt?

Hi Syr!

By seated do you mean is it actually in? Because I believe it is.

I angled the chair on the ground so that there's absolutely no space between the armrest and the rest of the chair.

It goes in, but the darn thing doesn't thread!

It even rises to the top like the other screws, but it still won't stick.
