AW2310 vs W2363D vs XL210T

I figure 120Hz is the way forward for games (or is it CRT's?smile.gif and looking at the site where I normally buy from, scan.co.uk (because they are just down the road), I think the choice is betweem these 3 monitors

Alienware AW2310 - Considering it is nearly 200 quid more than the others and the reviews are not THAT great, is this just an overpriced sucker monitor? It is CCFL which I don't think any of the other two are but I am really not set alight by this. Money isn't that much of an object but if I could save 200 quid then bonus! Who makes this panel? LG?

LG W2363D - Seems to get good reviews, good price and most importantly, it is in stock, ha!

BenQ XL2410T - Not currently in stock, seems a decent monitor?

My main question is, if I bought the LG W2363D, would I be kicking myself wishing I got one of the other two? I would like a 24 inch one but given that they all output the same res, I am sure I can live.

I own 1 W2363D and it is a fantastic monitor for gaming. but it does come with some flaws.

However, I have also been reviewing the Alienware AW2310 monitor as a potential candidate for my second monitor. (Because for Nvidia 3D surround you need 3 monitors with the same resolution, response time, and something else.. dont remember at the moment) so I think I would be able to get away with having the Alienware AW2310 monitor and the LG 2363D

With that said, reviewing both I have noticed that they are very similiar and both very good. The Alienware is a bit more expensive but I read (and I quote from FlatpanelHD.com)

"[The Alienware] has more accurate picture settings, better color reproduction/gradation, and a marginally better black level [Than the W2363D] but the gaming experience is not much different. W2363D actually has the edge here and at a lower price"

So from what I read, I think you would be satisfied with either. I don't know much about the BenQ XL though so I cant help you there. But the W2363D is a very solid 120Hz monitor (except for the touch buttons for the settings).

Heck, I might just get another W2363D as my second monitor instead of the Alienware.. but then again.. maybe I won't smile.gif

Hey Pinkerton, have you calibrated your monitor since getting it? Just wondering what your settings are.

W2636D
Brightness: 35
Contrast: 60
Gamma: 0
Sharpness: 3

sRGB
Red: 48
Green: 44
Blue: 38

Thats the way I got it set right now. Also of note. The 120Hz and 3D settings are only available by DVI-D and I think only with Nvidia. I have to look that up. (If that is any persuasion on your decision)
