I have AT&T DSL and their phone service.

We have 6Mbps down/750Kbps up and while I shouldn't be complaining, I hate it. We always have problems with them in our area (lines down, servers shut down, etc.) and the ping to a server in my area is always at least 100ms.

At least the phones are fine...

You're experiencing reality. It's BS, but it's there. I'm at my mom's place in Minnesota at the moment, and we've had Comcast here with solid service and customer support since '04. I've heard of people getting boned by companies though...

Right now, Comcast is giving us 12 Mbps service and it's like $50 even for long-time subscribers (your area must have jacked prices...), though we did have 16 at one point. The numbers don't matter though it seems, because even on this 12Mbps service, Speedtest.net consistently gives me results like this.

The high download speeds are due to PowerBoost.

Cuz I definitely know my internets is not this fast the majority of the time!

I'm at winter park village apartments, which isn't far I guess from where you are. paying about 60$ for a 10/1 brighthouse connection. Not sure how much this helps though
