Non-default clock speeds causing flickering with 5870 (Cat 10.12)

Hi all,

I've had my Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X for 10 months, and have had problems with it from the beginning, ranging from GSoDs to artifacting at the Win7 desktop. To try and work round the problems I've had a crack at downclocking it, but have encountered a new issue...

When running at non-default clock speeds, I get flashing on 2 of my 3 displays when scrolling in IE8.

I've noticed that changing the core or memory sliders in the Overdrive panel in CCC causes the current clock speeds to change from 400/1250 values to 157/300.

Has anyone else seen a similar problem?

Cheers,

/Jim

Yes, I have the exact same card and this also happens to me. I am using an Eyefinity 3-monitor setup, but I only get the flickering on the monitor that uses the active displayport adapter. Are you using one of those also?
