Well I just got an 800D with an internally mounted 480 radiator. I've never run an external radiator setup but many people have.

Basically:

Pros:
-Reduces heat dump into your case
-Allows for large radiators/small cases
-Very little modding required

Cons:

-More prone to accidental damage
-Looks a bit "ghetto"
-Makes the rig harder to transport
-Sucks up more dust that might normally get caught in case filters

all of those cons are a big deal for me...i've been googling a lot about this case, and if i remove the top, i can change out the fans on top and make them flow into the case...make the front out, and then mount the radiator to the top, and the reservoir under my dvd drive in the 5.25 cage...does that all sound reasonable?

I need a new watercooling case too...and I also have been cracking myself up wheiter or not to get the 800D.

I mean what else is really out there? Lian Li AF77 and P80 which both don´t have a side window and are overpriced IMO.TJ7 also too pricey and HAF X which is too damn ugly for my taste.

2011 will bring tj11 for 600 dollars^^ and that´s it ...oh yeah Obsidian 650 but that won´t even fit a DVD drive...so I think there is and won´t nothing exceptable on the market except the 800D and Mountain Mods (if they become cheaper, and get at least basic features and not just 4 walls).

Here some upcoming Case releases ..but they are all junk

dude, i know im very scatter brained just like this thread(sorry to all those reading this thread and thinking "what is this even about anymore") but i failed to follow you, lol...no offense, but i have been looking at cases like you're suggesting...i'll maybe go with phantom or something similar in a couple months, but i just got my girlfriend the dokker case since she thought it was "pretty" and it has no room...measures 3" smaller than mine in height and length, so don't do that... haha

Edit: I like how case manufactures put holes with rubber pass throughs on the back of a case and call it liquid cooling capable...funny

hahaha good one but unfortunetly it is the sad truth.

look at my post #37
a couple of weeks ago I was criticizing the 800D ..now I am patronizing it^^ because it is our only hope for a good WC case.
There is seriously nothing out there with the same price and watercooling ability matching or at least compensating the price.

It is really sad ..that there are no case announcements that beg to differ
Goodnes not even computex 2011 will bring the answer...and in the end Silverstone will drag their TJ11 600 dollar recycle bin to the floor-.-

wow...yeah, well you can always build your own from scratch...my friend built his own from wood...he's got 3 radiators on it...2 dual 120 and 1 single....1 dual for the processor, one dual for the video cards, but after the hot water goes from the video cards to the radiator to be cooled it circles through his mobo then into the single rad and then into the second pump...interesting and unique altogether...it's a beautiful case and fits what he needs beautifully!

Ok but that´s a one out of a million ....some people don´t have the time , patience and stamina to go through with that kinda project ..including me

When I first saw the mountain mods cases I told myself..."if you are not gonna get one of these you might as well trash your WC gear"....couple of days later I saw a review on youtube made by this 3DOverclocker.net guy you know the one with the crucket teeth and sleepy eyes Then I saw ...these things come in 4 walls...no USB,Firewire,eSATA ...no features ...no cable managment...just 4 walls with rad/fan mounting holes ..for 400 dollars^^ they are great for watercooling..but nothing else.. And you need to put another 100 $ into them before you can really call it a case and not radiator wall^^

well i understand that, but at the same time my friend made his case in a week, working like 3 hrs a day...it's basically the same as the tj11 but made of wood, and his radiators have their own compartment on the side where they just chill....he has front usb, firewire, and esata but it's because he just bought the small panel that does that from NZXT and just made a cut out and popped it in...

he knows what he's doing with woodwork so that helped a lot, but i'm sure if you put some effort into it you could do it...i mean, if you put as much effort into building a case as you do into searching for the perfect one i'm sure you can do it
