Connecting Speakers/Sub to PC?

Thread Starter
I'm planning on ordered a pair of Chase WAF-1 speakers and a HSU STF-1 Subwoofer, and I have an Auzentech Forte in my PC.

I was wondering how I would go about connecting Sound Card -> Sub -> Speakers.

Is it safe to connect the sub directly to my sound card and run the speakers from the sub, or would I be better off just buying a receiver and using digital out?

Thanks in advance.

I would buy a receiver. You can use analog with a receiver too with 3.5mm to RCA Audio Cables. That's the way I have it in my media PC.

PS. I have that same subwoofer. Great sub for the price.

Receiver is definitely the way to go. S/PDIF to receiver to sub to speakers.

Yep. They are right. I get awesome sound through receiver via Xonar.
