So when you pay $60 for a Raidmax "730W" you're actually paying $60 for a mediocre 450W. Doesn't seem like such a good deal in hindsight.

Good news is that you system will run on a mediocre 450W. So you aren't in any immediate danger or anything. But yes, you have been had by deceptive labeling and lack of research.

not cool... Any other suggestion regarding my new PC? HDD?? RAM?? MOBO? Did I build a solid PC for under 1200?

Well I personally would have just opted for an x4 Phenom II or an i5, better gaming performance for the buck since no game currently really takes advantage of six cores and I doubt they will for some time, don't get me wrong though it's no pushover. The rest looks pretty good, I am pretty jealous of the overall build with my core 2 duo and 5850.

And on the bright side you have a better idea what can be run under 500w which theoretically is good knowledge for the future.

Aside from that piece of trash power supply, you built a good PC there. Keep an eye on Newegg's power supply section, there were some major league bargains there recently, like $40 antec TPN 550s.

The 750TX isn't worth it right now. The 750TXv2 is quite good though, or the XFX Core 750W, or the Antec TruePower New 750W.

ACTUALLY you don't need more than a 450W for your current system, a 650W if you plan to go CrossFire.
