135mm f/2.8 with 15 blades Can you guess what I bought?

all I can say is it is purdy.
has a little oil on the blades but still the pictures are nice and sharp and can blur the background out fairly well. only other objection I have like a few primes it does produce some purple fringing on high contrast edges but for the most part that isn't an issue.

any ideas?

I love how the lens model precedes the "Can you guess what I bought" question

But congrats, that's a beautiful lens! What's it paired up with?

And what are you specifically asking with "any ideas"? Can't really find a question in your post.

Zeiss Jena? I don't even know if they make one, just randomly guessing.
EDIT: They don't, I'm so bad at this.

r31ncarnat3d I didn't quite give away the lens model with it just gave a very big hint as to what lens it was ;-)

and you came quite close to the answer. it's not the pentacon version of the lens but the meyer optik gorlitz version of the same lens. yeah I know same lens and in the end ended up being the same company.

Not too worried about the oil on the blades though as they move nice free and easily still and I don't believe it is enough to start dripping on the glass or anything like that.

Not sure how to clean it up in post as it isn't the typical red/blue/yellow fringing that most software has adjustments for but rather a nice shade of bright purple that is commonly seen on the 85 1.x series of canon lenses. Even so though it's not something that I see often and usually is only in very high contrast situations that it comes up.

Marin's foldy camera was a renamed Voigtlander. And this lens was just a renamed Pentacon. That is pretty funny.
