Old PC game issues

Thread Starter
I have a original copy of the PC game Machines(1999) from Acclaim Entertainment and I recently installed the game on my old desktop (Pentium 4) and the game ran real slow which was unusual considering the speed capabilities of my computer. I was wondering if there might be any way to overcome this problem.

My old compter is running Windows XP sp3 btw with xp game patch installed.

Haha , you probably just forgot how slow things were then verse now. I was just thinking about that. My old pintium I,2,3,4 verse what I have today. Welcome to OCN.

I would say it might be the sp3. I remember mine slowing down when I installed it many years ago.

OK guys, I finally got the game to run. I had to install something called d3drm.dll to run the game, everything seems to be working fine.

I am surprised the game would even run on Windows7 x64.
